Alpine F1 team have today revealed the launch date for their 2021 challenger, the first of which since rebranding from Renault.
The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic has ensured another virtual launch for this year’s teams on the grid, with Alpine’s taking place on March 2 that will likely be available to watch on SkyF1, and across online platforms.
Alpine’s 2021 car will be called the A521 and will be piloted this season by two-time world champion Fernando Alonso and Frenchman Esteban Ocon.
The newly branded team has seen a number of changes in-house ahead of the 2021 season, after replacing Daniel Ricciardo, who moved to McLaren, with Fernando Alonso.
Team Principal, Cyril Abiteboul who was in charge of the F1 team since 2017, also left the company after new CEO Luca de Meo joined the team.
