Formula 1 and the FIA have made changes to the schedule for the Emila Romagna Grand Prix in Imola out of respect for the funeral service of His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
The service will take place on Saturday, April 17, 2021, and so organisers have shuffled around the schedule to ensure there is no overlap.
Qualifying will be moved to avoid a clash with the service, and will now take place between 1:00 pm -2:00 pm Irish time.
As a result, FP3 will move to 10:00 am –11:00 am Irish time in order to comply with the regulations that state Qualifying must be 120 minutes after FP3.
On Friday, FP2 will move to 1:30 pm-12:30 pm and FP1 will move to 10:00 am -11:00 am due to the rules requiring those sessions to be separated by at least two and a half hours and FP3 needing to start no less than nineteen hours after the end of FP2.
There will be a minute of silence ahead of Qualifying as an opportunity for people to pay their respect.
