Ireland’s COVID-19 travel restrictions are set to be eased on July 19 with the implementation of the EU Digital Green Certificate.
In line with vaccinations and recovery, the unique QR code will also show proof of negative PCR tests in line with a safe return of international travel within Europe.
So if your dream holiday this year is to visit one of the remaining spectacular tracks on the 2021 Formula One Championship calendar, here are all the races and whether or not you can attend.
Hungarian GP
In line with Ireland’s measures, the first race that you would be able to attend without paying fines for leaving the country is the Hungarian Grand Prix taking place from July 30 – August 1.
However, Hungarian officials have closed all borders to the country due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and have yet to confirm a reopening for non-essential passengers.
Belgian GP
Next up is the Belgian Grand Prix, with proceedings taking place between 27 – 29 August.
Tickets are currently on sale, with 3 day weekend passes starting at 155 euro.
Current travel restrictions heading to Belgium from Ireland require passengers to fill out locator forms ahead of departure.

Italian GP
Skipping ahead to September’s Italian Grand Prix – tickets have yet to go on sale so there will be plenty of opportunities to get your hands on a ticket.

Current travel measures in Italy mean you will have to carry your digital green pass, as well as a negative PCR test max 48 hours before arrival.
Russian GP
There is a current ban on foreign nationals entering the country – including Irish passport holders – amid COVID-19
Japanese GP

United States GP
The United States Grand Prix will take place from October 22-24 in Austin, Texas.
Although travel restrictions are likely to be updated numerous times ahead of October, current restrictions require Irish passengers to be tested before departure (max 48 hours) and 3-5 days after landing in your locations.

Mexican GP
The Mexican Grand Prix is scheduled to take place on 20-31 October.

There is a Government Advisory in operation against all non-essential international travel to Brazil.
Australian GP
Emergency responses to the COVID-19 crisis include restrictions on flights to/from Europe.
Saudi Arabian GP
The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix is due to take place from 3-5 December, 2021.
Current travel restrictions state that you do not have to complete mandatory hotel quarantine on arrival in Saudi Arabia from Ireland and you do not need to take a PCR test on arrival.
You will still need to provide a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours before arrival in Saudi Arabia.

Abu Dhabi GP
The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is taking place from 10-12 December.
All passengers flying to Abu Dhabi, including transit passengers, will be asked at check-in to produce a negative result from a COVID-19 test conducted in the previous 96 hours.
