It’s straight into Round 8 this week, as the drivers and teams pack up and head to the Red Bull Ring for the Steiermark Grand Prix on Sunday.
Le Castellet provided a highly entertaining battle once again as the season continues to produce unpredictable and nail-biting antics.
Heading into round 8, Verstappen remains on top of the Driver’s Standings with 131 points, while Hamilton sits in second with 119 after a late overtake by Verstappen saw the British World Champion demoted from the lead at the French Grand Prix.
The second Red Bull of Sergio Perez continues to prove that he can hold his own at the team, and is now third in the standings with 84 points after his P3 podium finish on Sunday.
McLaren’s Lando Norris is in 4th with 76 points, ahead of the second Mercedes of Valtteri Bottas in 5th – who is having a difficult season with only 59 points heading to R8.
He’ll be looking for a similar result at the Red Bull Ring this time out after being victorious for Mercedes in 2020, but until then here is the up to date Championship Standings:
